Siza Mukwedini works in Zimbabwe and across the globe as a Film and New Media (XR) Content Producer. She believes that change is influenced by perception and film is the ultimate tool to inspire that. Her 2018 film on fatherhood, Mukanya, screened at international festivals in Canada, Kenya and Australia.

In 2019, Siza founded Matamba Film Labs for Women, and currently serves as Creative Director and Curator of the Matamba Immersiv Festival. This is the only new media festival in Zimbabwe.

In 2015, Siza was selected for the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders for her role in using film as a tool for social engagement. She has produced various current affairs and documentary features on women and Development issues for renowned broadcasters and distributors like BBC and Al Jazeera. Siza is producer for the award-winning Zimbabwean documentary on migration and remmitances titled Transactions which is a 2021 production funded by STEPS. In 2022, this award winning documentary had its European Premier at IDFA, the biggest documentary festival in the world, as well as an African Encounters Premier. The film has toured many festivals far and wide!

In 2019, Siza ideated the higly impactful Start-Up Tour Bus which saw a bus travel through 10 provinces of Zimbabwe engaging over 5000 young people on business and innovation. This was supported by the UNDP and the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture Zimbabwe. The project ended in 2020.

In 2023, Siza was awarded the US Alumni Impact Award for her outstanding work in Innovation, Information and Communication Technology.

In 2024, Siza sat on the Encounters Documentary Adiaha Awards Jury for best Documentary by an African Woman.

In the same year, she was also invited to be part of the AIXR awards Diversity as an Official Judge.
